Dream Home Inspiration: Kitchen

At first glance, I loved the way this kitchen looked with these three big windows looking out to into nature so we did just the same thing.

I had promised to get you this post last week, but it has been so insane trying to get everything done with the house that I am drowning! We are only a month out now and I’m scrambling to make all the last minute decisions {I will do a renovation update post #2 soon}, but it’s getting so exciting! So far, I’ve shared with you my home design inspiration for our exterior, living room, master bedroom, and today I’m sharing the kitchen!

You can easily warm up a white space with colors in a rug, wood elements and greenery from plants or herbs.

Since we are doing an open concept living/dining/kitchen, I wanted the kitchen to feel bright & airy as to compliment the rest of the large space. I did this by making sure there was a ton of natural light via several windows to really open up the space even more. We are doing white walls and a white backsplash so I wanted to break up the white with matte black plumbing fixtures, cabinet hardware and pendant lights over the island. The best part about having a neutral kitchen is that you can mix in pops of colors and textures with accessories like: a kithenaid mixer, wood cutting board, marble bowls, fruit, etc. I didn’t want the space to feel too white so I decided to do the island in a stained wood. I can’t wait to see this kitchen come to life and host many dinner parties in the near future!

I love how modern this looked with all the white & marble but still had a bit of farmhouse with the black pendants and wood table.
