I can't believe I just said that sentence out loud...it still doesn't seem real! For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to visit New York in the Fall. Yes, the weather is gorgeous that time of year, but that's also when the city comes to life for September New York Fashion Week! This is a semi-annual event, held in multiple locations, the largest being New York, Milan, London and Paris {I would love to attend one of the European versions sometime in this lifetime, also). It's the time for Fashion Designers to showcase their new line to buyers, the press and general public...and now, influencers. Influencers & Bloggers in the Fashion Week space has become a huge deal in the past several years since social media has taken over. It's a way for us to get the word out about brands and their new collection. Going to Fashion Week has been a bucket list item for me so you can imagine my excitement in going!

Here's the deal: I don't have a lot of information as you can't really start reaching out to PR companies until about a month or so before the shows start. You sort of have you buy your plane tickets, and accommodations and hope for the best! Luckily, some of my girlfriends and fellow bloggers from Seattle are also going so we could split our hotel and take the town together! From what I've heard, there are photographers hanging all the around the city, capturing the street style of all the atendees so you know our fashion game must be on point!

It was also a good excuse for me to visit my Dad who lives in New Jersey so I'm heading in a few days early to enjoy some down time with family. Since I'm traveling all the way across the country, it got me thinking about doing a trip to piggy back this one. Wes and I have been wanting to go back to Europe ever since our honeymoon almost 4 years ago. Since my Dad lives on the East Coast, he offered to watch Tayler for us if we wanted to go alone. So, we booked a trip to Spain just as fast as you can say the words "HOLA"! We had been talking about it forever, but I knew it we didn't just pull the trigger, it would never happen. I will be writing an entire blog post on our trip details very soon, don't you worry.
