Why I Won't Be Making Any New Resolutions in 2024
I’ve never been big on resolutions or goals, but rather I like to think of them as intentions. At the start of every new year, I think to myself, what do I want to accomplish this year and why? If it’s not something that’s extremely important to me or something that has substantial meaning or thought behind it, it likely won’t happen.
Why an Interior Designer Should Be Your First Call

Featured Project: Seward Park New Build
When I first met this family, they were in the very beginning stages of the new build process. They had decided to tear down their existing home and replace it with a pre-fabricated farmhouse they purchased from a company in another state. What does that mean? Well basically, the home was shipped to them via truck in large segments. So rather than building from scratch they already had the framework for the house and they brought me in to design the inside.
How to Create a Capsule Wardrobe
So what is a capsule closet? In essence, a capsule embraces quality over quantity and favors versatility — less items (thanks to those key, neutral pieces), endless options. If you’re ready to say yes to more joy, peace, and abundance in your closet then you’ll want to read this post.
How to Stay Organized While Packing
By now, I’ve done my fair share of traveling and I’ve finally gotten my packing routine down to a science. I wish I could say I was a pro at figuring out what clothes to wear, but I still usually over-pack too many outfits because a girl needs choices. But where I will pat myself on the back is my ability to fit everything into a carry on for a 4-5 day trip away. I’m sharing all my tips and tricks for how to stay organized when packing (and not have to check a bag).
How I Got Into Interior Design
By far one of the most frequently asked questions I get in regards to Styled Out West is, How did you get into Interior Design? I think it’s a popular topic for many reasons. One being that people are realizing that they can work for themselves and actually do something they love. Say what!? And while I think it’s wonderful when aspiring designers come to me for support, I am by no means an expert in this field (yet) and I don’t want to give the impression that becoming a designer is easy. I’ve certainly been hit with my fair share of challenges and I’m learning new things every single day
Cyber Week is here, and I’m channeling my inner Oprah this year with a special edition of Jenna’s Favorite Things! But instead of cars and extravagant gifts, this list is filled with items I genuinely love, use, and trust—perfect for busy parents like us who need a little holiday shopping inspiration.
